Improved communication on construction sites will save the industry millions of Euros

Construction sites gone digital

Across the EU, SMEs in the construction industry waste billions of Euros on rework every year. This rework is primarily related to miscommunication and insufficient coordination between the parties sharing the construction site. Most of the construction SMEs are still IT-immature using pen and paper or generic software such as Excel and Outlook to manage their projects.

To solve the problem, the Danish company Genie Belt has developed a new communication and co-operation platform – GENIEBELT – for the construction industry. The platform connects the different workgroups at the site enabling better communication. Using GENIEBELT will reduce rework with approx. 30%. In this project, Genie Belt will test the solution with a potential client to prepare for commercialisation.

Partnership proved a strong force for the project

We helped Genie Belt identify the best funding opportunity for this specific project. We encouraged Genie Belt to team up with a university partner in order to ensure the verification of the effects of the platform. After securing partnerships, the work plan and the commercial aspects, we wrote the final application for the Danish Market Development Fund.
